The legendary Irish folk group partner with Ry Cooder and celebrated Mexican artists such as Lila Downs, Los Tigres Del Norte, and many others, to tell the story of the San Patricios.

They were an Irish brigade, "St. Patricks Battalion," in the US army during the Mexican-American war, who became fed up with the mistreatment by anglo-protestant officers, and did not like the fact they were fighting a predominantly Catholic country. They defected to fight for Mexico, becoming the famed "San Patricios."
